Ceiling fans: Direction of Spin

Saturday, September 15th, 2007 @ 4:19 pm | General

Q: Which direction should my ceiling fans spin in either the winter or the summer months? Does it make a difference?
A: During the winter months, you want to have your ceiling fans pull the air up from the floor. This will lift the colder air up, and redistribute the warm air. A clockwise direction will accomplish this. In the summer months, a counter-clockwise spin is best to produce a nice breeze.
