Health Survey Signals Alarming Gum Disease Issue

Feb 05, 2008 in General, Health

In a vast majority, most people do not know they have a disease in their mouth despite many having mild to moderate forms of gum disease. The survey shows that only six out of every 100 of its respondents felt they suffered from gum disease. In contrast, a larger health promotion board survey four years ago showed that almost nine out of 10 adults were suffering from the disease. The organizers of the latest poll see the contrast in figures as a sign that people are not able to recognize gum disease or know how to prevent it. This simply is an alarming health issue that should be given utmost consideration by everyone. Superior oral hygiene, proper diet and quitting smoking and alcohol use give way to determining the way out before gum disease actually starts.

Find Unlisted Numbers for Free!

Feb 05, 2008 in General, Business

Let’s imagine for a moment that you’re looking for a person, but all you have is a single unlisted telephone number. It could be a mobile phone or a land line owned by a company or person. You’ve got no idea who owns this unlisted, and all you want is a name. So, you browse around the websites that offer free reverse lookups, but none of them are any use when it comes to unlisted numbers. Think you’re out of luck? Think you can’t find free unlisted phone numbers on the web? Think again! You have the tools to find that name or email address right at your fingertips and it won’t cost a dime.

Major search engines, such as Google and Yahoo, scan an index that encompasses millions upon millions of web pages. Chances are that the person you seek has posted some sort of classified or personal ad that includes both their name and the unlisted number. This is especially true if this person engages in any type of online commerce or e-business. The information may be scattered with a company name here, a personal name there, and a variety of telephone numbers. When following any type of lead, simply combine the pieces of information you have found and try to make a concrete link between them. Since search engines leave the final detective work up to you, try to think like one while you put the clues together.

Don’t be easily discouraged. The solution may be as simple as the method you use to enter the telephone number. If the 000-000-0000 format doesn’t work, try adding brackets to the area code and removing the first dash so the number appears as (000) 000-0000. Try it with no spaces or punctuation at all. An advanced Google search offers options such as “with at least one of the words” and “with the exact phrase” to help you filter your search results and find the data you need. Using these techniques and the power of the Internet, it’s possible to find almost anything.

There is, however, no guarantee that you’ll be able to find the name to match the number. Some people just don’t want to be found, and others simply value their privacy enough not to leave traces online. After all, this person went to the trouble of having an unlisted telephone number. That says a lot about their desire to remain anonymous. A professional private investigator has tools that are unavailable to ordinary folks and is a good last resort. In this day and age, though, it is quite difficult not to leave any footprints on the information superhighway. Finding out who owns that unlisted number can be much easier than you think. Just imagine that you are Sherlock Holmes and a search engine is your magnifying glass!
