Hot Off The Press

I recently purchased teak office furniture. I didn’t think about it prior to purchase, but I am now wondering if it is safe to place my computer monitor atop the teak desk. I am on the computer for several hours at a time, because I work out of my home office. I do not know if the heat that the monitor often gives off will affect the surface of the teak in a negative manner. I am anxious to get the furniture set up, but I do not want to compromise the wood in any way. Any suggestions? Is it safe to place the monitor on top of the desk? Should I place something between the monitor and the surface of the wood?  

When my husband and I remodeled our kitchen I thought that the only choices I was going to have to make were that of counter top and cabinets, flooring and appliances. I hadn’t given much thought to what type of kitchen theme I wanted. It wasn’t until we were almost finished the project that I realized even with the kitchen being new it lacked character. I looked at many different ideas for kitchen themes before I came up with the perfect one for me. Now my kitchen not only looks beautiful it has character.
