Types of porch swings

Sep 11, 2007 in General

There are primarily three different types of porch swings; hanging, glider, and canopy and there are important differences between each. The hanging-type, as is implied by the description, is typically hung from the ceiling of a covered porch. The glider-type is a bit different. It is usually suspended from within a frame that rests on the floor of the porch, or wherever. The canopy-type assumes that there is no overhead covering or roofling, and provides a canopy that can serve as a shield to the elements.
